Who you're buying from

One person, one company, no storefront in between.

The Elephant Cover is sold by Ruthless Ideas LLC, a Michigan limited liability company. These terms are the agreement between you and Ruthless Ideas LLC when you place an order at elephantcover.com. Questions about an order go to auston.ruth@gmail.com and reach a person, not a queue.

What you're buying

Made after you order it, not pulled off a shelf.

Every cover is 3D-printed in PETG, one at a time, in the colour you choose, after your order comes in. There is no warehouse. That is why there is a make-time before anything ships, and why colour choices are limited to the filament actually in stock.

Before you can check out, you tick a box confirming you understand this is a 3D-printed accessory: not certified food-safe, hand-wash only, and a barrier rather than a guarantee of anything. The full disclosure lives at the product disclosure page and is part of these terms. Your acknowledgement is recorded with your order.

Prices, payment, and tax

Stripe handles the money. Nothing about your card touches this site.

Prices are in US dollars and are the prices shown on the order page at the moment you check out. Payment is processed by Stripe on Stripe's own hosted checkout — Ruthless Ideas LLC never sees, handles, or stores your card number.

Where sales tax applies to an order, it is calculated and shown at checkout. If a price is displayed incorrectly because of an obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it at the wrong price. You will be told, not just refunded.

Make time, shipping, and pickup

Real timelines, set by how long a printer actually takes.

Made-to-order means the clock starts when you order. Lead times shown on the order page are honest estimates based on real print time, not marketing numbers — larger packs genuinely take longer because each piece is printed.

Shipped orders go by USPS. Once a parcel is handed to the carrier, delivery timing is the carrier's. If a parcel is lost or arrives damaged, tell us and we will make it right; see Section 5.

Pickup orders are arranged directly and are not shipped. Pickup packs are a separate, pickup-only track and cannot be converted to a shipped order after purchase.

Returns, refunds, and anything that arrives wrong

Made-to-order, but not made-to-keep-if-it's-broken.

Because each order is printed for you specifically, we do not accept change-of-mind returns on opened packs. That said, we would rather fix a problem than win an argument about one:

• Arrived damaged, defective, or wrong. Tell us within 30 days of delivery, with a photo. We replace it or refund it, your choice, and we pay the shipping.
• Never arrived. Tell us and we will chase the carrier and reship or refund.
• Changed your mind, unopened. Within 14 days, send it back unopened and we will refund the item price. Return postage is yours.

Refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe.

The warranty, and its limits

What is promised, stated plainly, in the words the law wants.

Each cover is warranted to be free from manufacturing defects for 30 days from delivery. The remedy is replacement or refund of what you paid for that item, at our choice. That is the whole warranty.

For any claim arising out of your purchase other than the kind described in Section 7, our total liability is limited to the amount you actually paid for the item the claim is about.

What these terms do not limit

The part most terms pages quietly leave out.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.

We are saying this plainly rather than burying it, because a business that tries to disclaim its way out of hurting someone should not be trusted with your money — and because a term like that would not be enforceable anyway.

Michigan law

Where a disagreement would be settled.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you and Ruthless Ideas LLC each agree to that venue. Nothing here prevents either of us from using small claims court where it has jurisdiction — for a purchase this size, that is usually the sensible route for both of us.

Changes, and how to reach us

Terms can change. Your order's terms cannot, after the fact.

These terms may be updated. The version that applies to your order is the version published on the day you placed it, and the date at the top of this page tells you which that is. Changes are never applied backwards to an order already placed.
