🐘 Raw, becoming real · built in the open

The Elephant Cover

Nothing gets in your drink.

A tiny cover that lives under your can's tab and folds over the opening like a trunk. Bugs, sand, and anything a stranger might drop in β€” shut out. It's always on the can, so there's nothing extra to carry and nothing to lose.

What it actually is

A small piece of tough, 3D-printed PETG that slides under your soda can's pull-tab and pivots on the rivet. Swing the trunk over the opening and your drink is covered. Swing it back and you drink like normal. That's the whole thing β€” no batteries, no app, nothing to lose. It just lives on your can.

How it works

Clip it on once. Trunk down, trunk up.

It threads under the tab that's already on your can β€” so once it's on, it stays on. From there it's one motion.

Step 1

Clips under the tab

Slide the base under your can's existing pull-tab. Now it's anchored β€” it won't fall off or get lost.

Step 2

Trunk down β€” sealed

Swing the trunk over the opening. The drink's mouth is covered, so nothing drops in while you're not looking.

Step 3

Trunk up β€” sip

Swing it aside and drink normally. When you set the can down, flip it back. (A raised trunk is the lucky one, by the way.)

Why an elephant

When a herd senses danger, elephants don't run and they don't fight. They close ranks β€” the grown ones face outward and tuck the little one into the middle, where nothing can reach it.

Your drink's opening is that little one. Wide open, anything gets in. The Elephant Cover does what the herd does β€” it surrounds the thing worth protecting, so the threat never gets there. The trunk isn't decoration; the trunk is the mechanism.

What it keeps out

Three things you never want in your drink.

Peace of mind

Anything dropped in

A cover that's always on means your drink is never sitting open and unwatched β€” at a bar, a festival, a party. It's a physical barrier over the opening, giving you a layer that stays put.

Bugs

Bees, gnats, and that one wasp that wants your soda. The opening stays shut until you decide to drink.

Sand & grit

Beach, backyard, boat, campsite. Set your can down anywhere and the next sip is still clean.

What it costs

Cheap on purpose. One on every can.

This isn't a luxury gadget β€” it's a useful little thing that should be everywhere. So it's priced to be.

$8
A pack of 20. Enough for the cooler, the party, and the ones your friends will steal.
$10
A pack of 20 + the tube. Same 20, in a reusable carry tube.

No faking it

Here's exactly where this is.

We'd rather tell you the truth than sell you a promise. This is what's real today:

  • ●The product is real. It's designed, printed, and it works β€” the photos on this page are actual prints, not renders. You can see the layer lines. That's the point.
  • ●It's a cover, not a lab. It's a physical barrier over an open can. It can't detect anything, and no cover can guarantee a drink is safe β€” treat it as one layer of protection, not a promise.
  • ●Hand-wash it, don't trust it as food-grade. It touches the can rim and sits over the opening; it's an accessory, not a cup. Give it a rinse.
  • ●It's a small part β€” keep it from young kids and pets. Like any small object, it's a choking hazard.
  • ●It's not in stores yet. We're proving people want it before we tool up and make thousands. This page is that proof.
  • ●Standard 12 oz cans for now. Tallboys and shaped cans are still being tested β€” we'll say exactly which when we know.
Questions

The honest FAQ.

Does it really stop someone from spiking my drink? +
It puts a physical cover over the opening so your can isn't sitting open when you look away β€” which is the moment things get dropped in. But be clear-eyed: it's a barrier, not a test or a guarantee. It can't detect anything already in a drink, and nothing can make a drink 100% safe. Use it as one sensible layer, alongside watching your drink.
Will it fit my can? +
It's built for standard 12 oz soda/seltzer cans (the everyday size). Tallboys and oddly-shaped cans are still in testing β€” we won't claim they fit until we've proven it.
What's it made of? Is it food-safe? +
It's 3D-printed PETG β€” a tough, heat-resistant plastic (the same family used for water bottles). Like most 3D prints, it's not certified food-safe β€” it's a cover that touches the rim and sits over the opening, not a cup you drink from. Hand-wash it and treat it as an accessory. (We're honest about this on purpose.)
Can I really get any color? +
Yes. Because each one is printed to order, color is just which spool we load. Pick yours at checkout. That made-to-order model is also why there's no giant inventory to pay for β€” which keeps the price low.
How fast does it ship? +
Each pack is printed after you order, in your color, then shipped. That means a short make-time before it goes out rather than same-day dispatch. Exact timing shows at checkout β€” we'd rather under-promise than lie.
Is it reusable? +
Yes β€” one cover lives on a can and moves to the next. A pack of 20 is meant to spread across your cooler, your friends, and the ones that inevitably wander off.
Who makes this? +
It's a Ruthless Ideas product, built in the open β€” designed, printed, and launched live on stream. You're seeing it at the raw, real, early stage on purpose.
